In Memoriam: Glenn D. Phillippe December 4, 1920 - January 27, 2016

Glenn Phillippe, a beloved member of Ellison Miles’ World War II flight crew, passed away last Wednesday. Mr. Phillippe served as ball turret gunner for Captain Miles’ B-17 plane, the Woolaroc, during their service together in the 92nd Bomb Group of the U.S. Air Force.

We remember Mr. Phillippe for his loyal dedication to the Woolaroc crew, his unwavering commitment to his country, and his longstanding friendship with our founder, Ellison Miles.

Mr. Phillippe, who called our founder “Pappy” during the war, was treasured by his family, fellow servicemen, and friends. Today, we honor his memory, and give thanks for having known a man who embodied the courage, warmth, and patriotism that will forever define a generation of heroes.
