2020 North Texas Early Childhood Leadership Awards Announced!

The Best Place for Kids!™ was one of two recipients of Child Care Associates’ annual North Texas Early Childhood Leadership Award in 2020. We are thrilled to be a part of the Best Place for Kids! effort, and congratulate Cheraya Peña for her leadership and dedication to building a whole-community approach that has not only helped connect families with critical local resources like child care, but helped businesses support working families through the first-of-its-kind The Best Place for Working Parents™ designation.

Congratulations to Cheraya and to all of the incredible partners around the table that are helping to realize this shared mission — including the City of Fort Worth, Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce, and many of our local nonprofit partners, business leaders, and private foundations.

In the last year, Best Place for Kids!™ launched the FIND! Child Care Tool, allowing families to search in real-time for nearby quality, available child care seats for their children age 0 to 12 in Tarrant County. Best Place for Kids!™ has also developed a business tool allowing businesses large and small to self-assess their workplace as a “Best Place for Working Parents™.”
